Calling a spade a spade: More people killed in the name of religion than for any other reason. The Holocaust, and Islamic Jihad, two leading offenders!

7 Oct

This blog is intended to dispel notions that religions are peaceful, and that in order to be “politically correct,” one must not offend believers.

Attention will be given to United States politics versus that of others, and a discussion of how the present Administration is dealing with friends, and with foes, will take place. With a critical eye, discussion of the Administration “political correctness,” and its blind-eye to violent Islam (and that of other religions,) will be pursued.

An examination of the need to maintain the quality of life of as much of the American public as possible (even at the expense of some minorities,) in face of terrorist threats to the United States, will take place. The premise that “the good of the many supersedes that of the few,” will be examined in face of the fact that Muslims should be “profiled” based on the role members of their Islamic faith play in most of today’s terrorist acts around the word.

The view of this blog is that “profiling” can be done with care, and without causing undue indignities to those being “profiled.” Those “profiled” can be made to understand that the act is not against them individually, but that it is rather because they happen to be members of a group that endanger others. Israel is a case in point. Israeli security screeners seem to go to great length not to offend those Muslims that they “profile;” there is no reason why American “profilers” cannot do the same.

Finally, American foreign policy will be reviewed, especially as it relates to the Middle East, to United States and the Islamic World, and to its relations with “friends and foes,” alike. Special attention will be given to the United States failure to reduce threats from the likes of North Korea, and Iran…

Returning to the purpose and reason for this blog:

Particular attention will be given to the fact that the major source of today international terror is done in the name of Islam, and the largest single event that destroyed [innocent] people, and did so because of their religious beliefs, or ethnicity, was the Holocaust. The fact that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vows to “wipe Israel off the map,” an act that he may well be able to carry out after enough nuclear devices are produced by his regime, will be carefully monitored, especially in light of that fact that such an event would be approaching the magnitude of the Holocaust, if it occurs.

Close scrutiny will be given the Middle East, including, but not limited to the fact that the State of Israel is the major obstacle to Islamic encroachment on the Western world. Will Israel with its formidable nuclear arsenal, “take-out” Ahamadinejad’s nuclear capability, which could be deployed against Europe, as well as Israel? The apparent deterioration in United States relations with Israel will also be reviewed, especially with an eye on President Obama’s apparent Islamic sympathies, which do not seem to be always reciprocal.

In the Twenty-first Century armed conflict seems to be concentrated among Muslims. War between brethren (i.e. Yeman and Saudi; Somalia; the Sudan, etc.), or conflict in the name of Islam, a Jihad, if you will, the means for forcing Islam on the world. Another item of interest has to do with the fact that the Muslims are divided, Shiites, Sunnis, and others, they are continuously at each other’s throat. Islam is using Israel, or what they call Zionism, as a uniting element, a “temporary glue” that hold them together for their present common cause, if they did not have Zionism to exploit, and their own one can expect a set of catastrophic conflicts (i.e. the recent Iran/Iraq war, etc.).

Not being Islamophobic, I have read the Koran and realize that those who believe, those who accept its words, must rid the word od infidels, not a peaceful suitable for civilized societies. That notwithstanding, it is clear that modern Muslims can, and do, accept the Koran in a manner compatible with Twenty-first Century society; and, like religious Jews who do not put to death those who do keep the Sabbath, or stone adulterers, adhere to the religion yet let others (infidels) believe as they wish.

Strict adherence to the Koran requires all Muslims to destroy infidels, but in reality, most Muslims accept a compromise, just like Christians, and Jews do, and adjust to be compatible with the world in which they live.

Informed rational freedom loving people have all the reasons in the world to fear islam. The twin fogs of political correctness & ignorance must be dispersed before western society better understands this menace. Even a brief review of islamic theology & history quickly exposes the deadly roots of this evil ideology.

Mohamhead was a 7th century murdering warlord who rose to power on a river of blood surrounded by thugs and gangsters using intimidation, violence, deception and trickery to expand their criminal empire while mercilessly suppressing and killing their opponents and enriching themselves on stolen booty.

The evil koran is a collection of sayings and speeches by this diabolical madman claiming divine guidance from some mythical sky-god which has inspired generations of crazed fanatics to abhorrent behavior resulting in historys worst ever crimes against humanity starting 1400 years ago and still continuing even today.

Islam is just another fascist totalitarian ideology used by power hungry fanatics on yet another quest for worldwide domination and includes all the usual human rights abuses & suppression of freedoms.

and some snappy infographics, great for emailing…

“Calling a spade a spade: More people killed in the name of religion than for any other reason. The Holocaust, and Islamic Jihad, two leading offenders!” – Interesting statement, but I am wondering, do you regard Socialism as a form of religion. If you do not regard Socialism as religion, than I think that Holocaust would be difficult to explain.

    • dangoor February 21, 2014 at 10:15 am #

Hitler’s Socialism, Gregory, was not classic Socialism, it was an entirely different creatures. It used different means than did others who tried to “practiced” the system. It is true that the Nazis killed other than Jews, but the step ladder to reach their objective, if you will, was the blood of Jews, people who belonged to the Jewish religion, either via birthrights, or in any other way.
Six million dead Jews, Gregory, do attest to the fact that the Holocaust was a religious persecution, even though the regime was another failed attempt at creating a Socialistic society.

      • Gregory Golyansky February 21, 2014 at 11:24 am #

Dan, My question was NOT whether Hitler’s Socialism was in some superficial way different from the “classic” Socialism (personally, I don’t believe that it was). My question was – do you believe that Socialism is a form of religion? To put it differently, do you believe that Socialism is a religion or a political ideology?

  4. dangoor February 21, 2014 at 11:56 am #

Gregory, this is a very serious question, but in a most simplistic way let me suggest that in my view, Socialism is neither a political ideology, nor a religion, to me it is an economic system.
The general implementing mechanism for Socialism, its associated political ideology and a system of government, if you will, is Communism (or in the unique case of the third Reich Nazism.).

    • Gregory Golyansky February 21, 2014 at 12:13 pm #

Okay Dan, let us assume that Socialism is an “economic” system. That being the case, I would argue that far more people were murdered in the name of this “economic” system than in all religious wars combined and the original statement – “More people killed in the name of religion than for any other reason” needs serious clarification.

      • dangoor February 21, 2014 at 6:06 pm #

Gregory, when you speak of Socialism with Communism, you almost have a point…If you take Islam, starting with Muhammad who had untold large number slaughtered, and following Islamic killing sprees after him, add the Crusaders, and others such as those the Spanish eliminated in the name of Christianity, religion still wins, a close race, perhaps, but it still “wins!”

      • Gregory Golyansky February 21, 2014 at 11:25 pm #

Dan, With all due respect, I think that you may whish look into the level of bloodshed preceding the twentieth century. The Islam may be talking about the “rivers of blood” but the fact is that Muhammad was a small time war-lord, whose casualties amounted to several thousand. Later Muslim rulers did things on a greater scale, but at the time when 10 to 20 thousand was regarded as a large army, casualties could not have been all that great. That scale applies equally to the Muslim and Crusader armies. For example, the island of Malta was successfully defended by a few hundred Christian knights. You must also remember that at its peak the population of the Ottoman Empire was about 50% Christian. The reason why the Ottomans were reasonably successful rulers, was because they governed with a relatively “light touch”. The same applies to the Spanish Inquisition. As horrible as it was, the 70 or so years when the Inquisition was particularly active, the total “body count” including Jews, Muslims, heretics, etc. was, if I remember correctly, around 15 thousand. Indeed the first human conflict in which the number of casualties exceeded one million were the Napoleonic wars. The World War II , was fought in the name of Communism, National Socialism, Fascism and the New Deal – all Socialist schemes of various brutality and resulted in 50 million dead. This number (50 millions) exceeds the combined death toll of all religious wars through-out the human history.

The following comes from why__zee, a comment on this same subject, just before yours.

Gregory, a fine overview, the summary says it all.
“In the name of religion,” Gregory, obviously include anti-religious ideologies. Hitler purge of the Jews, for example, reduce that group by some 30%, while Assad’s Sunni-Shiite confrontation which in the last three years caused the death of some 110,000 non-combatant Muslims, a high percent of the Syrian population, but only 0.1% of the world Islamic population.
My point, Gregory, has to do with the fact that religious action through the ages were not a source of “peace” as the Christians would have you believe, but rather a source of death and mayhem.
The term “religion” in the context of what I write actually applies to any ultimate, yet unfounded, unexplainable, authority.
You may wish to check my view on “pure” Socialism versus “pure” Capitalism, and the West humiliation of Islam as a cause of much present world conflicts.
        Thank you for your comments.

      • Gregory Golyansky February 22, 2014 at 10:37 am #

Dan, Your points are well taken; however, going back to the original point, I have to say that unless we regard the Socialism, pure or otherwise, as a form of religion (which is in my view reasonable), we will have to admit that more people were murdered in the name of this “economic system” than in the name of all of the religiouns combined. The obvius conclusion being that life with Christians neighbors is far safer than with the Socialist ones.

      • Gregory Golyansky February 22, 2014 at 10:46 am #

Dan, regarding your view of Islam we are in agreement with possoble exception of the figure of Mohamhead. I always thought that he was a small scale war lord and a thug. The grand scale Muslim conquests were accomplished after his death.

  6. dangoor February 22, 2014 at 11:13 am #

Up to a point we agree, the issue may be semantics. You know that my view regarding Socialism that it is an economic system, the tool to implement, or “install” it, if you will have been: Communism, Nazism, and in a few cases attempts by democracies.
I would agree that with its implementation tools, Socialism caused more death than did any other individual belief/ideology; and it is, as you said, by being a-religious, it i actually a religion to those who practice it.
As to having Christian neighbors, that is becoming impossible since, for example, most European Christian countries are heavily infiltrated by Muslims, only Latin, and South American countries seem to remain more-or-less Catholic, with some Socialism, or autocratic “nationalism” creeping in.

    • Gregory Golyansky February 22, 2014 at 12:42 pm #

      On that we can agree…
