Gingrich: A Historian? A lobbyist by any other name is…

Ex-Speaker Gingrich has a PhD in History, his dissertation has to do with the education strategy of Belgium in the Congo, not a terribly relevant topic for which Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac, would give the ex-Speaker $1,6000,000.00 for his advice as a historian!

Mr. Gingrich continues to claim that he speaks, as a historian when in reality the ex-Speaker is a politician. In order to impress his audiences and appear academician, Mr. Gingrich love to employ the term model on every turn; the ex-Speaker seems to feel that such term would separate him from his adversaries who do not appear to have experience in [computer] modeling.

Newt Gingrich dismisses the fact that he was paid as a lobbyist, the ex-Speaker does so based on a technicality, he was not registered as a lobbyist, and all lobbyist are supposed to be registered. What Gingrich overlooks is the fact that the large pay he was receiving was due to his contacts and influence in Washington, not based on his knowledge of the Belgian policies in Africa.
