Michele Bachmann is no Margaret Thatcher; time to “cut bait!”

Or,

US political parties should set minimum qualifications for primaries participation.

The American public can save a great deal of time and money by getting only people with minimum qualification to run in Presidential primaries, and the in Presidential election. 2012 may be a very good case in point.

Michele Bachmann may be a well-meaning Congresswoman, but with visions of grandeur. When several weeks ago the young Minnesotan did not appear to realize that the United States did not have diplomatic relational with Iran, she added to a repertoire of errors, not gaffs as the media often labeled then by serious for someone who is “applying” for the highest office in the land.

When, more recently, MS Bachmann compared her self to Margaret Thatcher, Bachmann demonstrated arrogance beyond belief, that comparison was much like Quayle comparing himself to Kennedy (when Benson uttered the famous words: I knew Jack Kennedy, Jake Kennedy was a friend of mine, you are no Jack Kennedy.) Michele Bachmann is no Margaret Thatcher!

It is time for Congresswoman Bachmann to stop taxpayers money and let people more qualified than she is attempt to get the Republican Presidential nomination. It is time that the GOP establishes qualification for allowing people to participate in its primaries.

To those who say that anyone can run for President, let me response, providing they meet certain conditions. There is now a minimum age requirement, and one must be a natural-born citizen; why not add literacy and basic knowledge requirements? Such added requirements would save a great deal of taxpayer’s money, and would streamline the process. For example in the 2012 primaries people who do not know, what, or where, Libya is, or that the United States has no diplomatic relations with Iran, should not have wasted time and taxpayers’ money.
